i don't know if this is common or not, but when trying to re-jet my carb the tiny little screws on the bottom of the bowl stripped. ouch! any hints to help a brother out on this problem. thanks for any help fellow DSers

 

Hey, It happens to alot of us. Get a small pair of vice grips and clamp them on crack em loose and throw them away. I bought an impact screwdriver just for those bowl screws.Some guys replace them with allen acrews. Happy jeting !!!!

There is another option.

Here is what I did. I took a dremel and cut the screw head across to make it fit my flat screw driver, then it came right off. But becarefull make sure you leave pleny of screw so the sides dont break. That worked great for me..

I did what Mudstud did worked like a charm. they make the screws softer so you dont strip out the carb threads. but I think they use some type of loc tite to put them in.
