wondering what year would be best i want to buy new but if not are there any years that had problems

2001 DS650
1) Chain Roller
2) Cooling fan
3) Twitchy Steering
4) Battery

2002 DS650 & Baja:
Everything 2002 is pretty much fixed, & they added some goodies.

The problems with the 2000 and 2001 are so minor I wouldn't really worry about it, I have a 2001 and a 2003, I ride both all the time.

The original battery and fan are still going strong on my '01. Knock on wood.

Original A-arms too, though I'd probably get updated ones if I wasn't such a tighta$$.
