Cutting the bolts is certainly an option but not necessary. It is simply a matter of loosening the axle lock nut(hardest part of the job) removing the sprocket, brake caliper mount and sliding the axle an inch. The bolts will not clear the swingarm so you can not remove the plastic skid (poor design). 45min job but be careful to put correct tension on carrier bearings and locknut on reassembly (refer to workshop manuel).
