I see Mr HP is selling these now and wondered if they come with a spark arrestor. Who has one and how do you like it?

Barlett, You said this pipe is loud! What's the DB level (in you opinion) of this pipe and dosen't it have a quite core option? I know that will restrict some of the POWER gain!

More importantly (at least to me) how does it compare in db level, price and performance to the Mr. HP end cap?

I currently have the end cap and like it well. It is very loud but also has noticable gains in power. I'm interested in the HMF for a lighter can, better finish, and the ability to be SA for some riding areas. I'm not sure but I believe the HMF has a removable SA which would be right up my alley because I don't usually need the SA. I just want to make sure it has that option before I buy.

Coyoteman,
Your polished end cap in your pics looks nice. Can you share your polishing technique?

DSengineer,

Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate that. If you have a bench grinder, relpace one of the grinding wheels with a polishing wheel. Get a polish stick (looks like an overgrown crayon). Apply the polish to the wheel (just hold against the spinning polish wheel) and your ready to polish. The polish wheel does all the work, just keep rotating the cap slowly. You'll have to hold something like a paint scaper against the wheel every so often to remove the dirty polish and reply new. Hope this helps. Good luck.

with the quiet core you keep 95% of your power gain so you gain 8.2 intead of 8.5 wich is almost nothing

Anyone have any idea what db level the HMF puts out with the quiet core insert?
