Chaparral let me down, Stealth Sprocket does not exist
I had a list of 9 items to order. 6 of the 9 items were either discontinued or non existant in their computer system and the sales dude couldn't even find them. it was their latest catalog I just recieved a month ago.
of the 3 items I did order that they could recognize, I only ended up with 1. 1 outa 9 items I tried to order actually existed in real life.
the item that pisses me off the most was a Stealth Sprocket from Sprocket Specialists. The Stealth Sprocket is the aluminum sprocket inner with a steel tooth outer ring forge riveted. well, after waiting over 2 weeks for it being on backorder, and endless promises from Chaparral to ship soon, I finally called Sprocket Specialists only to find out that they have never, nor do they intend to, make a Stealth sprocket for the DS. it doesn't exist. I called Chaparral and politely told them that the sprocket doesn't exist according to the manufacturer, and he politely said he would be happy to cancel my order so I don't have to wait any longer.
My hopes of a steel sprocket in a # of teeth other than stock are now gone. only non-stock tooth # sprockets available are aluminum afterall.
