Hey, How come Bombardier didnt use the Aprilia Pegaso`s motor instead of the BMW F650?
they are both Rotax 650s, but the Aprilia Pegaso 650`s motor is 5-valve instead of 4-valve.
Anyways, I bet the head off an Aprilia Pegaso would probably fit onto a DS650. maybe not, but If somebody has enough money to try it, I think they should. I dont know if somebody else already thought of this and posted it, but if somebody already has, than just forget that I ever posted this. But if not, it sounds like a good idea to me.

the 5 valve motor is different. in racing they have had better luck with the 4 valve motor.

In my opinion more isn't always better. Keep in mind you're adding more moving parts. Which means more stuff to adjust or break.

Also, that other engine may be considerably more in price, and they might not have wanted to pass that cost to the consumer?

Well, it was just an idea anyways.
Just thought I would share it with the rest of you.
