so what type of gas are people running on a 12.5:1 piston? can an ims tank fit with a tm45 carb? i think i remember reading it cant.

the ims tank and tm45 fit fine. all you do is lift the tank up 1/2" or so with washers or similar. I'm running an IMS tank with a Lectron 46HV that is MUCH taller than a tm45!

 

I found a place here in So Cal that sells 110 leaded fued for $4.75 gal. F&L Fuel, they have a few locations

They have Methanol and Ethanol (I assume Ethanol is alcohol?) also various grades of leaded and unleaded fuel.

They have a distributor link, for me the closest place is in Van Nuys.

 

I have alway's run both my main bikes 14-1 on alcahol ans still duned them as well as drag them it is reasonably economical when you figure alcahol is cheaper than race gas!!!!

PS:i have always run ims tanks and with spacers you can run any carb??? lectron 44 duals dual 39fcr's'tm 45 and 48mm lectron i have run all these with the ims tank

 

Our fuel is at £0.80 per liter at the moment and they say its going to rise thats for pump 95 octane pump 98 octane is more expensive still

you can add a additive that will help with the burning eyes, but it will still bother you a little but not as much
the last time i bought a 55 gallon drum of methanol it was only 75 bucks which would make it a little over a buck a gallon
im now running the 12.5 piston with 110, which cost me 20 bucks for 5 gallons
