do they make a magura clutch system for the ds yet?
I actually just called Magura yesterday. I talked to one of the Sales tech guys there and he swore that the KX250 kit would work on the DS650 and that he had over 30 people running them on the DS. BigDaddy331 has tried this exact setup with the KX250 kit on his DS650. It turns out the kit fits perfectly but the throw of the slave cylinder is not long enough. So no matter how you set it up it would either not fully engage or fully disengage.
From an old post here hou650 list the parts that worked for him.
Master cylinder 10.5 #0020571.
Slave cylinder #012502.
Plastic line 40in. #720550.
Steel braided line 40in. #720550-50.
Motion pro barrell end # ba01003.
I told the guy at Magura about these part #s and he said that those part #s are identical to the part #s in the KX250 kit. I measured the total range of motion on my stock clutch setup and it is 13.5mm. I believe Magura only makes 2 slaves; 9.5mm and 10.5mm. If someone were to make a shorter clutch arm the total range of motion would be shorter, but then the force need would be greater.
I am surprised the BMW F650 did not come with a hydraulic clutch, that would sure make it easy for us. I am definitely looking for some solution to this as I am added 60% springs shortly. Another alternative is to use the Barnett 9 plate Carbon Fiber kit. I have heard of people toasting this setup too, and supposedly the last disk is Kevlar, from what I hear its not a good material to be circulating around your oil system.

I am afraid I dont have any part numbers.
I called magura and said I wanted a clutch system for the DS.
The rep transfered me back to some warehouse where I talked with an older gentleman.
He said he knew exactly what I needed and shipped it out. I am not sure if I still have the box or not.
I just moved over the weekend so all of my stuff is in boxes.
