when my 01 ds gets warm it sputters real bad. it seems like its not getting enough fuel but it does'nt do it untill it gets hot. (not overheating)

 

can annyone help me. got a poker run saterday and i want to show every one what the ds is made of.

 

I am not very good at diagnosing problems, but the main questions are... Have you adjusted the valves, do you have an aftermarket pipe. is the air filter clean? What jetting have you done so far? I would look back at past posts and there are always a lot of answers to browse.

sounds like it might be flooding when it gets warmed up, you might check your float level and make sure it is not high.

 

Just to be safe, check ur battery cables. Could be loose which will cause the engine to spit and sputter. Believe me i have seen it happen before.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Lance

 

Is the choke pushed in all the way? did you pull it out 2notches and make sure it went back in 2 notches? is the tank vent tube pinched?
