Default blaster ?'s

I have a 2000 blaster with a fatty & power core 2 sil.,block-off kit, and a couple other little things. I've been runnin BeNol in it and I like the oil, but it says not to run it under 32*. Thats a problem for me, here in PA. Is anyone runnin R-50 or super tech.?Can I run it in the cold? Also is anyone runnin a 14 tooth sprocket? How much power did u lose?

the only part i can address is the 14t , thats because i went to 20" holeshot XCR on the rear. with a good pipe and proper jetting it still winds all the way out.......and it's not a start prob.
one of the best things you can do is get RID of the clown shoe tires....especially the rears...get something with some hair.....holeshots, razrs, etc. you wont believe the diff! sorry i dont know bout the oil part
have fun!!

I would have to suggest goin w/ Fast Trekker's front and rear. I hated the stock balloon tires. Like raptor8 said, u won't believe the difference.

ok first off the tires- i agree with the 2 people above

Oil- For oil, me and 2 other blaster riders found the yamahlube to work fairly well. I also used belray trans oil for the transmission. A month or so ago a topic was brought up like this that got into good depth on the types of oils to use, but for the average trail rider i wouldn't see a problem just using the yamahlube.

yeah, i forgot that! have used yamalube since new. works fine.....however
[here's and old desert rat trick] you can add a little 'Blendzall", i'm not sure they even make it anymore, but its a bean oil, and if ANYONE is behind you, their eyes will water!! It used to be just an extra advantage which was perfectly legal................

and if youre in the desert, its an easy way tyo find a buddy, since it has a very distinct smell......
and yes it was meant for 2 strokes...we're not talkin Crisco or sumthin.
A lot of old mxers are grinning right now!

see ya!

Thanks guys. I do have Razr's on the rear.I'm planning on buying a reed spacer and new reeds which I think will also help, with the 14 tooth.
