overheating problem, please help

i just ordered the fan relay, and both of the thermostatic fan switches. 60 bucks. not to bad. hope it fixes it.

Default overheating problem, please help

Sorry I didn't get back to you, I was at work the last couple of days. The switch that is bad is the one that points back towards the carb and it is a lot larger than the other one. The one on top of the thermostat housing is for the light. Hope you get it fixed.

ohh ok. I already ordered both of them. oh well. i have the other one as a backup.

all i have to do to replace that is unsrew the switch from the thermostat and screw the new one in??
should i use teflontape on the threads? and what should i use to seal the end of the wires t o io the switch????

You can use thread lock on the switch and sylicone the plug to weather proof it.

THE RTV ON THE PLUGIS A GOOD IDEA. I WOULDNT USE LOC TIGHT ON THE THREADS. IT IS NOT A SEALANT. USE THREAD TAPE.
