Ported Intake, Improvment?

Default Ported Intake, Improvment?

I just fitted A mr HP end cap yesterday and i am pleased with the result how much differance would I see/feel from fitting the ported intake as well ?

I see on the web site it says around 4 horse power gain on a totaly stock bike how does it measure up when the end cap mod has been done as well ?

I dont know about Mr HP mod, But I had FabCom port mine (See Pics) and yes it dose make a big difference!

Default Ported Intake, Improvment?

Mine is ported by Mr. Hp. The carb. and intake made a nice difference. 3-4 bike length. I will post new dyno numbers as soon as I get back from the Aledo race.

I did my own. I bought a rotery tool kit from Sears and 3-4 hrs later walaa. "see pick" its 47mm on the intake, I took the bubble out in the middle and drilled out the bolt holes 1 size larger to get it lined up dead nuts.

ERBEDS650 looking at your pictures of your ported intake, it apears you still have the bubble on the top. I would think this would disrupt air flow some what.

Yeah I asked them about that, They were worried about taking too much away from that area, mainly worried about it cracking in the long term. Thats bump is were the bolt slides in.

I can understand there unwillingness to take that out. one needs to come very close to breaking threw. when I was grinding mine I keep my finger over outside to gauge the heat/ vibration if I was getting to close. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
I do like how they did the vein so pronounced.
