I never even saw the O-ring?

Once I pulled the axel nut I sprayed some WD-40 down the shaft under the rotor hub threads. I think this caused the o-ring to slip along and back instead of staying put once I pushed the rotor back. I musta pushed that thing back and forth on the splines 50 times. Never saw the o-ring.

pulled mine apart today. my seals had the #s 50x68x10. must be a little wider than some. the oring had chunks out of it that corisponded with the splines.it was toast. the oring is in a groove in the rotor hub. about 1" inside the hub.everything looked ok. I was exspecting to see the hub full of grease. it was clean. just had grease in the bearing race area.when I do bus hubs at work we fill the hub between the bearings. I wonder why bomb did not put grease in there. a little bit of contamination between the bearings and axle. but clean otherwise. could not find the seals at auto parts houses. napa said they could order for 6.95 a seal. I will check bomb dealers tommorrow. and, man o man was that left hub nut tight. it took a half hour of impact wrench, one broken ratchet and a breaker bar with a long piece of pipe for leverage. slow steady pressure with pry bars got the rotor hub over the ridge. one more thing. regular shop grease? or some special synthetic?

About any good synthetic bearing grease should work fine. I would reccomend synthetic because water affects it less. If you don't ride in water, it shouldn't matter. They probably don't fill the hub with grease because of weight. That would be another pound at the end of the swingarm.

tvi had the seals for 17 for both. I still need the brake rotor hub oring. it would not match up to any in the bosch kit.
