Roost, there is no DB laws here. My local Bombardier dealer sells me the half sized jets. The 14 tooth will be a little low for just duning, but pounding the hill it will help make up for your weight. You have to realize that this hill is 700 feet tall. Over a thousand feet of racing. You will probably run the "backside". its on the same face as the big hill, just to the right. Its longer, but not as steep. I stick with my earlier jetting specs.

alright then ill def be running it wide open...
What will running the tires at different PSI do for me? (3/5/7? )
And on the gearing note... ive never ridden any place this large...do you think i should maybe go with the 15 so im not geared too LOW? (i dont want to wind out too fast and not have enough top end.... or is this place more of a "stay in 3rd " type of a deal?)
maybe i should resort to going to the rear sprocket.... because i will be running 22 inch tires on a regular basis (same as my sand stars)
I was told originally that one tooth on the CT is approx a 7% change where as 2 inches in tire size is about a 10% change. So id be running 4 % HIGHER than STOCK with 22's on i guess.... but with the 14 i would be running 3% lower than stock with 22's...but that dosnt seem right. anybody have input on that? (im assuming the low gearing would help on tough climbs so that if i pick the wrong gear it will be easier to recover...

I run a 145 main on my Mikuni as did Hightower on his last trip here. I also drop the needle 1 notch.
a 15 tooth sprocket helps but if you really want to pull the hill get a 14 tooth.
Look us up Hightower and some other "flatlanders" are meeting us @ LS Utah the 11th -15th We stay at Oasis Campground.

I run 15 /42 and it pulls the saddle great and the face good. I tried 14/40 and it was too low. I run a lectron so I am no help with jetting. That gearing is also good for duning as well you can stay in 3rd most of the time and 2nd for slow riding.

Different air pressure attributes to different bite. If your gearing is alittle high for the conditions, or you want a softer ride, lower pressure is the answer. However, if your pulling the hill hard, and you have ran out of gear, but cant pull the next, pump them tires up, it will act like you changed to a higher gear, giving you more top end.
There is no dealer close to the dunes. If your going through ogden, Ads Motorsports will have all the jetting you need. There is also a dealer just north of Salt lake, if your going by, but I dont know how there inventory is.
