Mr. HP CDI?

I bought one from him. I think it is a procomm CDI because the numbers are ground off the side of it and you can just make out the same numbers from the procomm. Not saying it isn't good but it's cheaper from procomm. I have both and they perform the same and hit the rev limiter at the same RPM.

That is the one. I got it about 2 weeks ago from eric(misterHP) and it felt the same as the procomm. At close inspection they seem to be the same.

I don't think you could tell by feel, I bet the team pami, graydon, and rwr cdi all have the same feel on the bike (except for the rev limit). I am not even sure you would be able to tell the difference on a dyno. I know Procom produces their CDI for alot of different companies such as BigGun, White Bros. and possible a few others. BigGun was selling their cdi for about $200, you can buy the identical cdi from procom for $99. I believe this is why BigGun stop selling their cdi. For all I know someone could be making the cdi for procom!
Is procom making the cdi for MisterHP? Only he can answer that. Mister HP claims a rev limit of 8300rpm. Procom claims a rev limit of 1000rpm over stock (low stock rev limit on any production DS650 is 7700rpm so that would about 8700rpm limit?)

I would bet Mr. HP could sell his CDI cheaper if he didn't have to charge for the time he spends grinding the Procom numbers off. Sorry, but thats pretty cheesy in my opinion.

If you call procom they will tell you about 1000rpm depending on machine and mods. MisterHP says 8300 but if you ask him he will say more around 8400 to 8500. Just going by what both of these people told me when I ordered them I would say that sounds about the same in different words.
