Default gearing question with nitrous

wondering what way to go on my gearing now with the nitrous. i run 15-43 for just duning this works great for our short hills, on our race hills if there 300 ft i would be shocked, so it is short and quick, i'm just hitting shift point in third at the end, works great. now when the nitrous comes on it's not so great, the thing pushs to shift point about as fast as you can shift. last year at sand mountain jeff ran tall gearing which worked great for his hill there in neveda. i'm starting to think what i need is a gearing that will be simlar to the 15-43 but with a first gear start and that way i can still be quick on just engine and yet get a little longer pull thru the gears, i have been thinking of 16-42 or even 17-42. well any thoughts would be cool
