I bought some oxygenated race gas by VP and that stuff stinks. It stunk in the can and stunk in my bike. You can't miss someone burning it in a bike. Now we are having warmer days I can smell it stinking outside my shop.

 

a friend ran nutec and it didn't smell so good.

 

I don't know if it was the gas or my new pipe but my quad ran like stink too.

 

which kind of Vp did you use I'like to try one too does it makes a real difference

I run VP mr8 It stinks good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] need to run larger mains to get more hp and it works

U4 (Ultimate 4).

Wierd because it is clear too.

I think it is only 89 octane though.

 

I ran the Ultimate 4. It is impossible to be stealthy with this gas, you leave a scent trail. I ran new tires and a new exhaust (FMF Ti4) at the same time I went with the gas so it's hard to tell what did what but my quad was deffinately faster than it's every been. My guess is it was probably equal to bumping up the compression 2 points.
I wanted to try it for some time but it is pretty spendy , I think it was around $10 a gallon. Almost as much as premium around here!
I think alchohol would be better bang for the buck. That or going with a MRHP 14to1 comp piston and race gas.

 

mystereid what did you pay for your oxygenated race gas by VP? What was their fuel that you ran, CMP? I want to run some in my class, but I'm afraid that it will be too costly? The last drum of race gas I bought, I paid like $230 for it, but I would like to pick up some more power. If this stuff is around 4 or 5 bones a gallon I would not mind trying it.
Oh, one more question, how bad was the smell? The tech people might get nosey if it's too bad!!!!!!
