these guys, that put out parts, they spend hours on the phone with each person then after they have them where they know where they would like to go, they look for a cheaper price. gary has probably spent days on the phone with me, eric and i have had several talks, and so far i've only bought one thing from eric but he is great every time i talk to him. seems like people forget to treat others like they would like to be treated. azsand is another one, guy puts out great info, told us all about the graydon ct pipe over a year ago, told us the mbrp was quite then as soon as he went dynoing put the word out not to go there. well good luck and after i read the first post i think i got a little side tracked it was when i read about the other end cap using erics jetting. that i figure is the cheap price, you getting to spend your time jetting.

Well shouldn't you spend your time jetting anyway, at least if you want the best performance you can get? I have always thought that all anyone else could do is give me a ballpark figure on jetting, and that it was up to me to do the fine tuning. Afterall, no one is going to be able to tell you what is going to be the very best set up for your bike. Even two 100% identical bikes, ridden at the same altitude on the same day, may work better with slightly different tuning.

I think that it's great that Mr HP has contriubted so much to the DS enthusiast community, and that so many of you have loyalty towards him, but does that mean that you are willing to spend $75.00 more for the same thing just cause he's a nice guy? I don't know him, but I admire his dedication to the improvements to the sport and the DS, however, for me the money difference meant being able to get a modified cap or not getting one. Yes I opted to go for the other brand. I do intend to have Mr HP port my intake in the near future (when I get the cash), unless I can get the same or better job at a better price. How many of you shop at Wal Mart? Don't you know that you can get the same products somewhere else and pay more? You seem to have no prob with that. My advice to anyone that has created a good product is to patent it, or since they are the developer, make it at a more cost effective rate to beat out the competition. Lets see $75.00 more than the $50 that I paid is 150% MORE money. How many of you DS owners would buy a nock off brand name if they made the exact same quad and called it by a different name and charged $2,400 instead of $6,000? Do the math it is the same proportion but of a different price. I would buy the off-name brand in a minute regardless of how nice the person selling the more expensive one was. And no matter what any of you say I know that if that were the case there wouldn't be may DS's out there but instead the cheaper (but the same) quad would be more prolific in the atv market. Any time I need/want something that is offered by Mr HP and someone else at the same price I will go to Mr. HP due to his enormous contributions the the atv community. But I feel no remorse in shopping for the best price and getting the most for my money. I can't speak for him, but I am willing to bet that anyone else (even Mr. HP) would have done the same thing in my situation.

But does that other brand come with the same customer service & dyno time to back up there product? You have someone on this thread that asked MrHP about jetting for his end cap (MrHP) but not purchasing & going with brand "X". So they want to pay brand "X" & wants MrHP to give them jetting sizes.

we havew a place called costco, i prefer that to wal-mart. there isn't a prablem with shopping for a cheaper price, it's just odd to buy one place and then go to the other place for customer service. if all you need is in the ball park go with stock jets, they are only 3 bucks each, i personally carry about 20 with me that way i can fine tune.

I agree with what countryjoeglass put forward that if you buy from one you should not ask the other for recommendations on how to fine tune it. I offered the advise on jetting (even though it was a question asked about a MR HP product) because from what I hear they are similar or the same. The info I offered was not from MR HP but from my personal experience which may or may not help the guy asking the original question. From what I hear Mr HP has customer service that is absolutely second to none. I only tried to help a fellow DS rider. The other stuff about MrHP came from those making comments about people buying a (possible) clone product at a better price. Don't get mad at those taking advantage of a good deal. This forum is about like minded individuals helping each other. So any time I can offer good advice I will try to help out. I didn't do or say anything to question or put down Mr HP, but I will let others know if there is a sililar product for much less as I see it as helping them out, with no intentions of causing any harm to anyone else. All I have heard about Mr HP is great, his products are said to be nothing but top notch and his customer service and willingness to help untouchable. I personally have nothing but good to say about him. If you want to frown on anyone/thing make it toward the person that (possibly) cloned his product. If it was done illegally I would be first to boycott it. But if done legally it helps stimulate competition among makers/distributers which helps out us the end user/consumer.

cain73 my comments were regarding the forum member asking MrHP jetting question on his end cap while being high bidder of a auction for brand "X" end cap. I don't have a problem with you or other forums members helping each other out with jetting question. Thats what the forums are for to help each other out. Now as far as cloning I have no idea but he was asking MrHP about jetting for his end cap while bidding on brand "X", maybe he thinks it's a clone.

This is actually a GREAT post. After Eric reads this (if he hasn't already) he may realize that if he lowered his price some he may actually make more money. Remember, you will eventually have sold to ALL the residence in Beverly Hills and sooner or later have to sell to the rest of America to stay in buisness.
Yes I have bought from Gary(TVI), Ron / Elloit (RWR), Alba, Eric(MrHp), RockyMountain, Sidewinder...the list goes on. Sure price means a lot. Everything means a lot. But when it comes to a simple...\YES simple end cap....OK...here is an example. Alba makes a decent pipe they also make a race tip for it. Exteemly similar to the two tips in question. And, also out WAY!! before either of the other two tips (end caps). Still call foul....NO! why? cause Alba gets calls every day on jetting. Why? cause there name is out there as a shop in the know. We live in America....be proud of that I AM
