Check your toe on the front end. You should be like 0" to 1/4" toe out on front when sitting on it.

Personally I run my DS @ 1/8 toe in with me on it. I have aligned cars for year and a Twitchy car is caused by toe out so I reasoned (right or wrong) that toe in would help the ds. I also run a steering stabilizer. I can let go of the handlebars @ wot in 5th with a 17 tooth front sprocket on it and it will go straight.

New a-arms is the permanent fix.

A friend of mine rode my DS this weekend and didn't like the steering, but I've ridden it enough that it doesn't bother me.

mine is pretty bad at high speed too. i have adhusted the toe but am pretty sure it is the caster/camber adjustment, which i can't adjust. i can look at the front of mine and tell it is way off. the tops of the tires are leaning in really bad. new a-arms one day.

the steering stabalizer makes the steering feel as though its in a track and smooths it out.

No more bumpiness. No more handlebars jerked from your hands if you hit a rock.

I was really suprised what a difference it made.

There is no way I would want to ride at high speeds anymore without it.

I also have replaced the upper a-arms on both of my DSs. That seemed to help a bit too.

Not as much as the stabalizer though.
