Are there issues with the the Shift Forks on these bikes?

No not really. But.....if you hammer the shifter to hard to offten you will have probs. Also, surprisingly enought. The shift forks on the mighty well built DS are way thinner then the shift forks on the Raptor. Boy aint that a kick in the ****......

LMAO!! @ MajorEcho

I believe in 02' Bomb upgraded the shifting forks to a better material. I had to replace mine on my 2001 within the first year, but since then, not any trouble what so ever(not even a titter).

bigger.

Oh yes, i am very hard on my DS. I ride it like there is no tomorrow evrey time i go out. In fact it has equal time on it's back as it does on it wheels. Good thing it's a DS or I would be walking back to camp all the time.
The updated shift forks are suposed to be tempered such that they are stronger. But they are not any thicker. They can't be or they would not work in the DS's tranny.
