Looking for input on mini quads
#1
I am looking for a 90cc quad for my little girl. Anyone have experience with an ETon Viper 90? Other considerations are the Polaris Predator 90, Suzuki LT80, Kymco 90, and of course the DS90. Your input is appreciated.

coyoteman,
I bought a Monsoon from walmart 3 years ago, my son started beating the crap out of it (jumping) had to do some TLC cuz of that but my doughter now rides it and its been great. only trouble that I can remember is 1- relay, gas tank @ 2 yr Leaked, chain. most have the same 2 stroke engine very duriable IMO. the only thing is I didnt have A local dealer had to mail order.

My son had Kasea 90 skyhawk for a coupla years. Great quad no problems and had the best suspension of all the minis I looked at. Safety was high on my list as I was hunting for a little machine and suspension and handling are an important part of staying out of trouble, so many of the little quads have the suspension of a brick and will buck the rider off in the rough stuff.
Good luck with your decision.

I have heard good things about the ETONs but dealers/parts may be limited and hard to find depending on where you live.
My cousin has an LT80 for his kids and it takes a beating and keeps on running. THey are probably the most popular kids bike out there and have been in production for a long time. Lots of aftermarket parts available.
THere is a Kids QuAD forum on this site that you will probably be able to find some more information.

Thanks for the input everyone, keep it coming.
DSengineer, Thanks for the heads up, I looked but never seen that forum, I must be blind. Looks like I'm getting more common sense replies on this forum though. Thanks again.

I purchased a 04 Polaris Predator 90 for my two older girls (8 & 6). The love it. It's a good mini. No problems to date (3 mos. old).

I bought a DRR90 for one of my sons and have been very happy with it. Very stable, nice suspension, no complaints really. Only problem I ever had was the spark plug boot (mounted directly in front of engine) wasn't sealing out water when puddle (lake) riding, thus causing engine to sputter when water got on plug. Some dielectric grease and gasket sealer seemed to fix it right up though. It's automatic too so great for him to learn to drive without hassle of shifting.

well the lt80 has been around the longest which is one factor i would consider, also very easy to get parts for them, although i don't have any first hand experience with most of them, i've known a few people who had lt's at one time and they seemed to like them
