adjustments for ported intake ?
#1
I have heard that a ported intake makes a great performance mod and I am considering attempting a home port job on mine. After porting do you have to adjust anything to compensate (like jetting) ?
Also I'm not sure if I should do it myself or send it to Mr. HP. Looking for feedback on home bored and the MR HP product.
And tips on do's and don'ts of porting (in case I do it myslef) would be appreciated.
Thanks

I did mine my self as others did to. I bought from Sears there rotery tool kit for $100 and a dremel accesery kit. there is some casting bumps and one bubble on the top from the bolt take that right down but be carful not to go through. drill out your bolt holes one size larger so you can get it lined up perfectly to the engine ports. you can look down the intake w/ a flash light or stick your finger down it to check alingment. dont grind the endine side, only carb side. I used a couple tools 1- small diegrinder tipand a spiral bit. I went to 47mm check my pics. I put a TM45 on at the same time so the gain from this aloan some one else will need to fill in.
