Default ds vs raptor

i have a question, and i'm not bashing raptors cuz their nice bikes, just too small for me, but say a raptor and ds are exactly the same the same speed with equal weight and skill riders, why is that? the ds weighs about 100lbs more and has 10 less cc's so how are these bikes this close. seems from the numbers the raptor would be faster. is it the carb, pipe, engine, etc?

Its the engine. Rotax design and better tuning from the start make the ds more powerful.

The ratios inside the ds trans must be a lot tighter than I thought then. I believe the ds comes with a 15 tooth front and a decent sized 39 or 40 out back. Thats awfully tall gearing.

DS is 16-40 stock. Yes it's kinda high.
The Rotax is the best motor in the ATV industry no doubt.

Now, quit pickin' on my Z !!!

sorry everyone for the confusion me and YFZracer are friends outside of the forums, and when he told me to shut up it was a joke and i took it as one. but it sounded like some of you had the story confused. i actually was wondering about this one myself, maybe i should start a new topic but i'm going to ask anyways. YFZ was on his stock 400ex and his buddy was on his Z which had a pipe air filter and lid removed with booty and i think something with the gear box or something was changed (you'd have to ask YFZracer what it was). but anyways the two raced YFZracer on his stock 400ex and his buddy on his modded Z now the first race YFZracer won on his 400ex, and to see if it was a skill thing they switched bikes and the stock 400ex still won, with the different riders. why could this have happened?

therushnkid3 that wasn't the first time that he told someone on the bomb forum to shut up. He hold someone on the "70HP stock bore & stroke" post to shut up. I think thats why ANNIHILATER & Gary660R replied to his post with the comments. The Bomb forum is a peaceful place with great info. I know I like it that way. Peace & out!

There is no way a ds beats a raptor.I raced one in a sand dune and stomped it by 5 bike links. It had a pipe, air filter, etc
