Were do you ride? Try some of the DS's at St Joe's, they are a little faster.

This whole one is so much faster than the other is crap. Both dead stock very close trading wins. Both piped and jetted they are darn close good whole shot will win. Both with high comp piston and cam seems we get the same results. Similar mods seem to equal similar performance. My Brother has an 01 DS I have a 01 Raptor. We have done most of our mods about the same time and we have been very close every time. I am also pretty sure washrdskn and his brother have had similar results. I don't think either one will blow away the other. Can't speak for the newer DS's or Raptors though.
Also as far as reliabily niether of us has had many reliabily issues. Although I am a little better with my maintenance than he is so if I was a slacker like him maybe mine would not have held up as well.

Depends on what the race is.
Oh, and how much ***** the person riding has.
If we have to race through sections of tight trees you will see a difference in agility giving the Raptor an advantage. If either one of us clips a tree it could/would be the end! But a skilled rider will leave me. I've wrestled my quad through hare scramble races. It is a Moose!
If you race in open trails you will be eating my dust!
My DS is bone stock. I have raced ALL my friends and others. I have NEVER been beat in a drag race. Just imagine if I added siple things like a pipe and carb!?
