time to adjust suspension?

The First thing you want to do is adjust you race sag in the rear. Race sag is set with you standing over the footpegs with your hands on the bars. You can use the grab bar to measure from. Pull the rearend of the quad all the way up (Don't pull the tires off the ground) and measure to the ground. Get on the quad and do the same. You should have at least 4in-5in. of race Sag. You can adjust from there if you wish but you want the 4in as a min. Sag is adjusted by turning the rings at the top of the shock by either loosen or tighten the preload on the spring. Remember to do one adjustment at a time writing it down for reference. Take the compression all the way out. The compression is on the Rezzie. Compression slows down the shaft speed of the shock. If you have to much it will ride really rough on washboard, studder type bumps like you would see in the Sand. You can start the rebound adjustment in the middle. The rebound adjustment is on the bottom of the shock. If you have to much rebound it will pack up given you the feeling it is bottoming or to stiff. You want the rebound adjusted so yours tires want to stay on the ground. Its sometimes best to have someone watch you go through some whoops and tell you what the rear end is doing. If the rearend hits the first bump and stays up for the next couple you have to much rebound. If you have to little rebound it will just want to through you off. You should have it so fine tuned that one click either way in our out will make it ride like crap. Just remember to do one adjustment at a time!

dez, want to come to my house and setup my quad? lol
i wish i had more determination to get it done.... i dont really have any whoops around here, and only one jump, so its hard to tell how well the suspension is setup until i ride at a park.
