Go mrhp, the hp will be the same, but you get more than just an end cap. just read some of the old posts.

Default mod quad or MRHP?

i would order mrhp's piece just on principle, he seems to be the first and since then lots of copy-cats, i ordered mine about 3 months ago, exellent service and advice he also sent me the correct jet for my elevation. im a welder i work in a machine shop and could have had one made but im sure ther was lots of time in testing, and thats worth something. by the way great sound noticeble performance gain.

I've got two of Mr. HPs end caps, as well as his porting on both of my quads. You should consider getting your intake ported, that with the end cap will make it come to life. As well as ask him all of his tips on setting up the stock carburetor.

After porting do you need to adjust the carb if you have already done so to compensate for the end cap? I hope to get mine done soon and was wondering. I haven't decided if I'm going to try porting it myself or to send it to Mr HP. Any idea how much a new stock intake is in case i try and ruin mine ?

cain73,

Mr. HP charges $150 to do the port work, and a new stock intake is $150. If you are confident in what you can do to your intake then it could be worth the risk, but there is also the chance you wont get as much HP out of the cut. However doing it yourself is free, but if you do it yourself, and don't get a good result it will cost you about $300 total to get it done at that point.

Personally I don't even begin to know what to do in porting an intake, so I sent both of my intakes to Mr. HP for a little love from his machines.
