Well, for you guys out in the Vegas area, there is an Auto Cross organization http://www.lvrscca.org that races a lot.

At these events you will run into all kinds of friendly people that race. Those people that go out there and race corvettes (Z06's) and other fast cars, might also be into raceing Team Pami 760's and other 4 wheelers. I would say go out and meet some of these drivers and say Hi. Also, if you do go and say Hi, Could you say hi for me........Just say "James said Hi"

There is also a big 4th of July party for the MEMBERS of Las Vegas Region's Auto cross SCCA. There is directions to the party on the web site.

Sounds like fun! I think ive seen them doing this type of versatile raceing at a nearby dry lake bed.... My neighbor happens to have a SCCA sticker on his truck (Ive been wondering what it stands for), Il ask him if its the same organization... If they allow quads maybe It could be interesting.

Hey Dunedevil, I used to race solo II with a mazda RX7. I raced in the northwest region and had a great time for amount of cash needed to compete. I recomend that anyone who thinks they have a fast car or truck check it out! Show up with about $20, a car that is reasonably safe and a good helmet ( I think snell 2000 now) and you'll be racing that day! You'll learn allot about how to go fast... and not

Too bad Vegas is so far away. It would be a time to go to the races then maybe Cheetas to relax.

SCCA: Sport Car Club of America....but you should talk to your neighbor just to make sure.

They race every sunday night at the sunset station. I just bought a 1989 mr2 and am thinking about trying it out. Looks like fun.

500zuki, if you go out there, have fun and try not to tear your stuff up, it gets pretty expensive.

If you run into a guy named Don Knetzger, say hi for me. He runs a few different cars out there....Corvettes and other cars, so I can't say for sure what he will run.

Who know's, with Don out there, he might be able to talk them into letting the quads run the track, if they were set up properly....sway bars, proper tires....

SCCA racing is a great way to improve your driving skills and teach you about chassis/suspension versus horsepower. And you can find races in any decent size town. Best part is you can pick up an old RX7 or Civic or anything cheap and have a great time with it.
