ok,...ive been looking at aftermarket cdi boxes, but ive been told that i should replace the valve springs first with stiffer ones...
what do you guys think?
my bike is an 04 baja x with stock cdi,..e-series slip on...k&n,..jet kit,..15t front,..20" tires...ect...
is it worth the trouble for the few extra rpm's?...or will the stock ones hold up to more rev???

With stock cams - keep the stock springs. If you go with aftermarket cams and springs, change the springs at least once a season - especially if you use dual rate springs that are not shim under bucket. You could wait until the springs shatter with shim under bucket, the only thing that will happen is that you'll need a tow home. If you wait until the normal dual springs shatter (without shim under bucket) you'll have a large repair bill.
