well the guy with the predator didnt even show up. ive been trying to call him all day but no answer. well i decied id go and run it anyways just for the fun of it. well i get down there get it unloaded and am in line waiting and all of a sudden it slowly becomes pitch black. it starts to strom bad. when i got back to the truck the wind was blowing so hard the ramps wouldnt stay in place to load the DS back up. so i didnt even get to race. well i guess i'll have to wait til next tuesday night or this friday night. hopefully it wont rain for the atv rodeo tommrow night though

 

i had the opertunity to race a preditor over the weekend at sand lake...up the first bowl he took me time after time...not sure what mods he had done but to the eye, he had a full big gun pipe system,...the last time i raced him i had the x pegged in second and dropped the hammer off the rev limiter and grabbed third,...i hole shotted him and was close to even if not alittle ahead at the top....

those are actually fairly quick bikes.......just my .02..

 

Yes the pred is a very quick bike, my room mate has one his has the white brothers slip on and a 9800 rpm rev limiter when my 01 ds was stock he could get me of the line until about 3rd gear then I would walk by him. I installed the hmf pipe did some jetting and not even a problem I can get him off the line and top end. He is about 100lbs heavier than I am so we switched bikes and HE CAN STILL WALK AWAY FROM ME ON THE DS WITH ME ON THE PRED. I have to give poo credit they did build a good sport quad for their first try.

imo... the raptor ds and pred are all fairly even in speeds i dont think any of the 3 "smokes" or "walks away" from the other.

 

i just got back from the atv rodeo and didnt to to bad. i did the barrel and drag race. in the barrel i ran a 16.5 and the fastest was a 15.7 so i was proud, but in the drag i lost to a yzf450 with alot of mods. so i wasnt to sad about that one. i started in 2nd because thats what i heard was better, but it seams like startin in first would gave me more 'off the line' power. it seamed like it took it a second to catch up to the gear that it was in and thats what slowed me down alot, but i did seam to be catching back up after i hit 3rd. it wasnt long enough to even touch 5th though. so thats how tonight went. just thought id post it here for anyone that was bored and wanted to read it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

"smokes" or "walks away" sure adds to the camp fire stories though......and god forbid I get a few wobbly pops in me, because by the end of the night, it'll be "stomped" and "kicked"[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
