Can someone tell me if the DS has a vented gas cap or if the tank is vented elsewhere? The vent on mine seems to be stopped up cause after a little ridding, I loose fuel flow and when I crack open the gas lid, there is a huge vacuum in the tank.

 

Take off the cover that covers the gas tank. there is an elbo on the tank it self. And has a tube that wraps around the tank. If you put on a different rev box you could of pinched the hose, that is what happened to me.

 

Yes, I have found that. I would like to seal this vent up and go with a vented gas cap.

Anyone know of a vented gas cap that will fit the DS?

I was told the one off a Scramber 500 fit, but I believe this is a non-vented cap as well. I know the Yamaha (banshee, blaster, etc) don't fit.

 

I ordered the Billet Gas cap from Alba Action (http://www.albaaction.com). It is a vented cap, which has a hose similar to what we are all use to on the yamaha and hondas. With tax, overnight shipping, etc...total ~$90.
