standard steelers:Awesome or NOT!!!!
Anyone using the Works standard 5/8"steelers with compression only and no res.(guess thats why they call them standard) Cost 459$. How do they compare to the standard baja stock shocks and to the pro-series works shocks with res and rebound. appr. 900$ I want to stiffen the ride up alot from the stock shocks but don't want to spend more than needed. I am keeping the stock rear shock.
If the works steelers are a good shock, what a bargain at 459$
thanks justin.

I have had the tripple rates with the 5/8 in shafts for about 2 years now and they have taken everything that I can dish out and still are going strong. The ride and control is greatly improved and they suck up the woops awsome. They are worth the money if you ask me but be sure to get the 5/8 shafts the 1/2's will bend on big jumps. I also went with a +1 A arm and that has greatly improved ride and control as well.

I have the standard ones. The rez's can be added later but I never founf that I needed them. The trick is to get them set up with the correct springs for your riding style first and foremost. I went with too soft of a spring at first and it would bittom out all the time once I changed to the stiffer springs it was way better. I can air it out big time and never worry about the shocks breaking anymore.
