Default stage 2 now what next?????

always looking for more power!!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] what would be the next step??? im thinking of doing a stage 3 but while i was reading the bigger valves dont help. just p & p. what has everyone else done other than big bore. and same cams the a1.

does porting and polishing help that much if you do it right. may be 3 bike links.

The larger valves and porting do help.

You may want to look into a 730 though since you are probably looking at about the same price for that set-up.

I've found a carb mounted K&N will give you about 3HP vs. in the box K&N. If you are just looking for a couple extra lengths that may be the ticket.

i was going to buy the valves from ron w and install myself and p & p myself. the machine shop will put valve seats in. i will need to do this anyway if i go big bore right.

the ported head with bigger valves pulls very hard in the upper rpm range as I think youll admit even with the pitiful stock carb, pipe and air filter. still pulls like a raped ape. John

Yes, 3/8 rod W/ tabs welded on. I tried aluminum But upon a landing one time a little crooked... ok really crooked I bent them really bad and they snaped, so I went to the 3/8 rod and painted them. Most you see on my quad is custom one offs. I used to be the only one w/ the 5" end cap but a couple cought on and built there own.
