Default help me understand?

I run RazrII's. Don't worry about rubbing the stock heelguards, I've jumped mine pretty hard and only a few times have I rubbed, and it was only rubbing the outside upper corner (where it flares out) and that can be trimmed if you like. I now have Aerotech heelguards. Very sharp looking and no rubbing.

coyoteman,

i love all the polishing, the exhaust looks killer,

did you send the stuff out for polishing?

is your ds an 04, cause they shortened
the swingarm by an inch in 04 , thats my worry

Chirochris,

I did the polishing myself so I really appreciate the compliment, thanks. Painting the exhaust was a good idea, I thought, but unfortunately it does not hold up long. Thats why I now have an HMF exhaust, it's much easier to clean and keep looking nice without giving up the power I got from the end cap. It can be spark arressted too.
I'm sorry, I didn't know yours was an 04, maybe I should have looked closer, Mines an 03. I still think you would be OK with 22's. I hate the stock heelguards, so if mine would have had clearance problems, it wouldn't have mattered much, I wanted to ditch them from day one anyway.

man if i knew how to polish like that i would polish everything,
you should do your rims.

i keep getting mixed reviews about this rubbing issue
some with 04's say no and some say yes

i want raz2's front and rear(22'S) but dont want them to rub.

what type of place should i look to find someone to polish for me

Coyote man

I see in your pics you have run the 22" sand stars , i also see your heel gaurds were off did they rub or clear
Im looking to get a pair as my 20" get buried by the weight of the ds, I no longer have stock heel gaurds but the pro pegs cant give much more room.

Chirochris,

I have polished my wheels, the reinforced ring anyway, and painted the inner wheel black. I just haven't got any pics up on my page. I will try to get one up tonight.

blue250r,

I had them off for that paticular dune trip because I think the stock heelguards are cheap and ugly so I can't really comment on whether or not there are any clearance issues with those tires. I do know my buddy has an 03 Baja identical to mine and runs Sand Stars with the stock heelguards and I never heard him voice any concern.
