Any body run without it? Right now mine is off, seems to be a small weight savings, IF you ride with out it, what kind of riding do you do? Is it safe for all around riding?

my only concern is if you take a hard tumble, having the frame tied to the motor on all sides serves to strengthen the frame.

I dune like crazy and don't have mine. The upper cross bar is cut apart completely to fit the FCR's. It is just easier to do it that way.

No issues.

Sure makes pulling the head easier too.

I have ran my current bike w/ out it and have had no probs.. But I would put it on if your riding is versatile.
The motor I have now ive ran it for a year now with not top mount, But I usually on go in a straight line without hard packed whoops, I dont think I would run without a top mount if desert racing or jumping on hard packed flat landings.

Another thought, I always wondered if the top motor mount would cause friction when ran through tough terrain
Friction pulling the head from the bottom end "if" the bottom bolt started to get loose. Probly not.

I just fired my bike up without bolt and now im a little concerned, it did shake a bit, I need to go and tighten up bottom bolts. I hope they are loose.

I clearanced the area inside the bracket so I could maintain the motor mount *and* remove the head easily. When I want to save weight, I only drop 5 beers in the cooler instead of 6.

This is what I want to know. I am not really worried about the weight savings. Maybe I will just put it back on.
