Well we made a journey up north and we got a DS for my brother, he bought a Black 2001 we believe, its got PC T-4 Pipe, K&N,Jet Kit, DG Nerfs, RWR CDI and a ported intake. I noticed before he bought it that it had the newer style a-arms, then after we got looking when we finally got it home I noticed the chain adjuster bolts on the back of the swingarm are different, and the fan is mounted differently. It was made in 09/01 so i'm not really sure.

my '02 baja has a sticker date of 9-01

 

You bought a 2002 DS. That is the first year of the new style a-arms, and they would have stopped making the 2001 model year DS's by about 5/01. Congrats.

power wise probably only a carb,
other stuff like full skids, handguards, tires, gauges,heel guards

we still would like to get that track kit for the winter
