DS DAYS whose going and when????
My dad and i will be there wendseday evening or thursday morning.
As far as getting there. Just take hiway 50 thirty miles east of fallon and take the sand mtn. turn. Cant miss it. Take the road(its a packed dirt/gravel road) up to the bulletin board on the right side which is right near where the dirt road ends(you will already have passed a bunch of camps off to your left) When at the bulletin board look to your left, for a big area blocked off/and all the DS's. Come look for us first before you go blasting out there so we can figure out where you should park or whatever. It will be a great time.

DS DAYS whose going and when????
I am hoping to leave Thursday night, but it is a hell of a drive so I'm going to drive as far as I can and if I'm lucky I'll arrive late Thursday, if not I'll arrive sometime Friday.
So take the 50 to Fallon, pass Fallon (Avoid Fox Peak Gas) and drive 30 miles till I see a turn labeled for Sand Mountain. The drive up to a bulliten board, and look left for the group. I guess I'll just look for Tony's Gray Dodge, it's pretty hard to miss.
Does anyone know how the drive is on the 80 and 50 between Sacremento and Fallon? I'm trying to decide if I should go through Vegas, or Sacremento. The difference is about 50 extra miles through Vegas though. I'm going to pack light and probably not have my trailer so I'll be -safely- cooking along pretty good.
I hear the 50 goes through mountains, is this slow driving or pretty OK?
Good link to know what to look for when you are getting there:

I see a speed limit sign posted at 25 MPH - should I watch for BLM trucks with Radar like at Dumont? Don't want anyone getting a speeding ticket going 35 MPH.
Weekly Pass is $20.
