Default A little advice

I found the tranny problem, not what I expected.
it turned out to be excessive wear on the shifting drum! so the next time you have your motor apart give your drum a good look over for wear.

where on the drum was it?

the nipple that guides the shifting fork into the fourth gear seat. the rest of the fork seats were also slightly wore.
