Default Red Line on DS???

OK, the tach. has no redline, so how far can it be revved? I was out on a gravel road today and had it up to 7-8k, brand new so didn't want to push it past that besides I was freaking flying, I was hugging the gas tank with my knees to keep the front down LOL. It had more in it if I wanted to push it but just playing it safe.

If you are stock from my experience it is harder to hit the limiter. But once you pipe, jet, and filter it, it will hit the limiter much faster.

On the standard DS, you hit the limiter at about 7300 to 7500 RPM. The BAja X hits limiter at 7900RPM

hard to watch the tach when your flying thru the gears, i think it's pretty good it got that close to the rev limit with out hitting the limiter and noticed the tach at the same time. don't worry when it spudders when you hit it i thought something was wrong at first.

All DS, including the standard model, came with the 7900rpm rev limiter since 2003. The 2002 Baja had the 7900rpm limiter

Well, I have a levee road thats pretty straight for quite a while and I only glanced down for a half a second. It was decelerating to 7K, so I know it was over 7 just not sure how much.

hitting the rev limiter doesnt hurt the quad and when my ds650 baja x was stock i could hit rev limiter going up hill against wind, it hit it way to easy.
