Default 0.125 rims?

Just curious to see if anyone is running the .125 thickness rims out there. I saw a place selling sand tires and wheel combos for a good price but the .125 raised my eyebrow. What do you all think?

This would just be for a recreational type riding but still semi-aggresive.

Thanks
Hez

Don't waste your money....they'll be square after your 1st ride!!! Use .190's, preferably with a re-inforcing ring of some kind....

I don't think they would be strong enough for any serious riding. I would stick with 190's.

I suggest .160s for sand, .190 for anything else, .125s fold up very easily and can ruin your trip.

I agree with mystereid on the .160 for sand. I have run them for years with no problems. the smaller the wheel the stronger they are to. I wonder if a person could put 10" tires on a 8" wheel with no problems?

Stay as far away from .125 aluminum wheels as you possibly can!

I am running .160's in the sand and no problems. If you are a larger rider or do some extreme jumping go with the .190's. Definately pass on the .125's

so is anybody running 125's? Are they only good for drags? I'm talking sand, not dirt.
