Well ive only seen one fast 4-stroke and that was the sparks nitro 450. Other then that i havent seen a 4-stroke that would even line up with me. That makes it hard to give props to bikes since they in essence havent proven themselves to me. I was in fallon for memorial day and still didnt see anything fast, and i guess maybe its because of those reasons i like my 2-strokes more.

Fastest timed 4-stroke is what...a 4.28 or something? So again...hard to give props when gas and alk 350 banshee's can run the same times.

Lets not turn this into a 2-stroke/4-stroke thing though.

a POS raptor (now you guys know why i hate 4-strokes) and a z400. First quad i owned was a DS650 with a woods 2 kit on it. When it exploded and the bill was 2500 for a crank and cases i sold the bastard and went 2-stroke.

 

any mods on the raptor or Z??

 

pipes, filters, K&N's...nothing major. Raptor has a +4 lonestar arm, carbon fiber plastics, lazer lights, crap like that...basically a big waste of money on a bike that keeps falling apart.

they break too much, and when they do break they cost too much to fix.

Only thing good about a 4-stroke is they like turbo's and nitrous.

 

Some of us have the best of both worlds, DS650 to play in the dunes with the kids, then the fun toy, 1988, LT500 100/lbs lighter than a DS, the grunt of a 4 strock, the quick rev of a 2 stroke, speed is life, how fast do ya wanna go!!!
