Default Slow oil leak at drain plug

I have been finding small drops of oil in my garage where I park by DS. I got up under it last week and noticed a drop of oil hanging from the drain plug ready to fall. I though the bolt might be loose so I put a socket on it and tried to snug it but it was already tight. I loosened it and re-torqued. It is a week later and I still have the slow leak (1-2 drops a day). Any ideas on whats going on?

I believe the little washer on the drain plug is actually a gasket. The manual says to change the gasket on the drain plug when changing the oil. Maybe it is in need of replacing. Just a thought.

should have an aluminium crush washer there, order a new and replace it, they can get messed up after multiple oil changes and start to leak.

Thanks,
I was thinking possibly the crush washer, but I have only changed the oil once since I bought it. I will go ahead and replace anyway on my next oil change to see if it stops the leak.

How often do you guys replace your crush washers? Every oil change?

I've never had to replace mine but, a small amount of sand could have got in there or, it may have fallen out and you didn't notice

Don't over torque it. You can strip the treads on the drain plug. Check out the F650faq web site and you'll find this as a common issue.
