I had a friend ask me about purchasing a DS because I just got mine a few months earlier. I told him about the guy on EBay in Ohio that sells them on a monthly basis for like 6300 or something. I printed out the auction page for him and took it down to Town and Country. They matched the sale price..................... so OTD was like 6700. Dont pay anymore than that. I have had 3 friends buy off EBay from the shop in Ohio. Every sale was 6700 including shipping across the US. All arrived still crated from the factory. Might want to try the same thing at T&C. I can give you the guys name that just bought 1 and use it for leverage.
Good luck
Its dune season! lets hook up and ride after your purchase!

Well I went and got it on Friday morning from Metro mororsports. 2005 X, they tried to push me around but when I just walked out the door they came chasing after me and made the deal literaly in the parking lot. They didn't even have the bike there when I bought it. It was still being assembled. they called me around 5 and I went to pick it up. I got it home and took the front fenders and hand guards off first thing and it hasn't moved yet. I'm going to get the Ron Woods exhaust tomorrow so it will be on soon. can't wait for the dunes!!

thanks guys. I would take some pictures but I lost the cable for my dig. camera and I cant upload them. they tried to pitch the extended service contract BS to me but I know better than to buy that. the guy seemed baffled when I told him that I would change the oil myself. lol

Some people like the exteneded warranty contract. Most DS650 owners who buy it, never use it. And most DS650 owners who don't buy it, are glad they didn't. Thus far, I've only heard of two DS650s that were 'problematic' and seemed to have more issues than the rest. Considering the number of owners I interact with, that is less than a 1% problem rate.
Both of my DS650s have been just about perfect, and I'd bet yours will be as well.
