Default New Orange and Black Toy

I just put a pic up of my newest toy. It is the biggest enduro bike you can buy, just like the ds is the biggest sport quad you can buy. It is a 2000 KTM LC4 640 that is in very good condition. The previous owner took very good care of it and it runs great. I have already put knobbies on it and I can go riding now even when the ds is in the shop.

It's a blast to drive. I live in a rural area, and I go down every dirt and gravel road I can find. The best thing about it has to be its ability to wheelie on command. It may get me arrested, but going through an intersection on the back wheel is a great way to get attention. I think that I will supermoto it next spring and go to a local track and play.

It's about like a stock ds. Mostly mid-range pull. Not a lot of top or bottom end. I wish it had a little more punch down low, but it pulls nicely all the way to redline at 105mph. Not that it is fun to ride that fast. Anything above 80 mph starts to make the front end light. It is great for trails and just playing around town. The best thing about it is that I am 6'6" and it is plenty big enough for me.

I ride with a guy who has a KTM, either a XC520, or a 540...I can't remember exactly...It is a beautiful bike...I'd love to have one. KTM really has come along ways from when I was riding dirt bikes...they're every bit as good as the japanese bikes.
