That's not it at all. If Mr. HP can produce a more powerful kit. . . more power to him. That isn't what we are discussing.

Some of us feel it isn't right to use someone elses product the way it has been done here.

Honestly, take a look at some of what has been said here and some of the information (links - specifically to pictures) and if you still feel the way you do. . . a week ago I would have said I'll feel suprised but, I have been shocked by how many people don't see what has been done as wrong. If you've already read it all and feel like you do. . . so be it.

I'll make you a deal. I won't tell you why I think it is that people don't think it is wrong and I'm sure you can't put me in a catagory of, "a small group of DS riders do not like Mr HP coming in a getting a upper hand on the old timers." or "Still sounds like sour grapes to me." Like I say, if you don't get it you don't get it.

Believe one thing. . . the group that believe what has been done is bigger than you think! I've spoken with a number of them and it has nothing do do with weather or not one of his bikes wins all the races from here on out or never wins a race.

I believe that most people won't write posts that create a lot of conflict. They simply don't want any part of the argument. This is why some of them haven't posted.

I understand that you and Eric as well as Eric and a lot of people on the forums are friends and I understand wanting to stick up for your friends. I've spoken with Eric before and had him do work for me (said already) but, I don't agree with him on this one. I won't take it personal and hope he doesn't, it just isn't something I agree with.

Correction what was the fastest a few years ago proved to still be the fastest @ sand MT.Aparently were not getting any faster the build was 2 years old and all builders spoken of here were represented no dice !!! no can do no nothing natha!!!!!

 

dUNEME- I have talked to Eric in person a few times. It is not like we call each other on the phone. lol But i can tell you if you have ever met the man, you would see that he has a passion for this. This sport needs people of this type instead of business men just wanting to make a buck.

I have re read a lot of this. It looks like a lot of the complainers ALREADY have a built quad by someone. Why does it bother you? It is not like you were in line at Mr. HP's shop for work.

Maybe Eric will bail on the DS's and build some other line of quad motors, where there is a larger customer base to be had.

I won't re-hash what I've already said on this thread. I think it is plenty clear why it bothers me and as I've said, I think it should bother everyone. If I view something as unethical, it doesn't matter what quad I ride or car I drive.

If there are specific questions about my views please ask but, I've said enough to **** off a few people that don't share my views.

I dont think that Mr HP was represented @ sand MT by any stretch!!!!!!! I have seen HIS bikes run

Honestly, I think HP Research would probably black-list me from their customer list for my opinions before I would say I would never use them. I hope that's not the case.

I can tell you I won't buy a jug from them but, I've bought from them in the past and don't rule out buying from them in the future.

sandbomber capewindy brought a hp 730 it ran pretty good it was there with ours. the 720-30 run very good it takes a lot to beat them out. jeff was very cool about our first race, his progressed to get faster, it's his hill on our hill the difference we'd see would be small. jeff is great every year he tells me something to help my speed. this year the help was jets, since i'm running nitrous i'm sure you guys can imagine what that was about. the thing about these fast machines, i think if you want to be close to the top your going to have to go to the edge, of blowing the engine, or at least at this point.

 

I understand the edge sandman[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I have 4 motors being rebuilt right now[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] I just dont think the 730 was even close to what I have seen Mr. HP run!!!

All different builders and I hope they all out do themselves!!!!!!

 

Will you guys just lay off Mr. HP. You know there is an old saying YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE!
