anyone have the formula for converting that? i have a foot lb torque wrench and wanna torque the cam bolt to in lbs

 

12 Inch-Pounds = 1 Foot-Pound
Thus Divide Inch Pounds By 12

 

I'll give you a hint. There are 12 inches in one foot. LOL

1 ft/lb = 12 in/lb

Be REALLY f'ing careful trying to tighten those bolts that way!!! I'd just order a Harbor Freight inch lb. torque wrench if I were you. Or buy one at sears and return it a day later.

Let me expand by saying DO NOT use a ft/lbs wrench where in/lbs are called for. Just don't do it at all. It is not possible for a ft/lbs wrench to accurately detect in/lbs. the chances of snapping a head, stripping a thread, or leaving them too loose is too great. a 0-80 ft/lbs wrench will not accurately measure 7 ft/lbs.

 

The Harbor Freight ones are great if you want a lot of practice drill'n, tapp'n and heli-coil'n
The old 300's had quite a few 1/4 -20's put in.
