Well, i just got my new outy about 2 mounths ago, and i love it. But i been having a problem with the idle, when is warm the idles so low that it almost dies(but does not). I was just wondering, if there is a way for me to agust it with out taking it in. I have looked in the owners manule for the screw but came up empty handed. so any help would be nice, thanks

On a Traxter they have a **** on a tube that goes into the carb on the drivers side. Sort of like a remote idle screw. I "think" the outy is the same? May give it a look.

Thanks for the idea, but theres no **** on it, but the real problem is that the air box is covering the carb so its a little hard to get to.

Sorry I could not help you out. There are Outty owners on here, a few. I'm sure one will be along soon to give you the correct answer.

i had the same problem with idleing. i have a 2004 outlander 400. if you take the seat off and stand behind it faceing the handlebars, look down to the right of the center frame rail and left of the exaust pipe you will find a little **** on the carb. you cant really grab it and turn it because it is so tight in there. i had to stick one finger against it and kind of turn it. it is hid real good so look hard.
