Compliments

Glamis was a total blast this weekend, but i noticed one thing about the DS. It kept bringing in the compliments from people. and after riding a Raptor for the first time and a polaris scrambler for the first time, I couldn't be HAPPIER with my choice on buying my DS X. Just thought i would share

No, actually the dunes were perfect, i'd say about the top 6-8" were dry and under that was wet, it kept the dust low and provided excellent traction. there was well over 100K people there but it didn't seem too bad. Temperature was perfect in the day and a bit chilly at night but do-able in the back of a truck :-) . I cant wait to go back in Feb. I did have a bit of a problem with plowing the front tires (stock) with my sand stars on (rear). I was running 3psi. in the front maybe it wasn't low enough. other than that the DS made me proud. I'm very impressed with the suspension travel and wheelie ease.

Glad to hear that the sand was in good shape. Surprised that the top dried out that quickly after all the rain. I had 3lbs in my stock front tires two weeks ago out there, and didn't like it, so I went up to 5 and thought it rode better. Still wasn't completely happy, so I broke down last week and got the sand star front tires. Hopefully the front will float better and turn better now, and that should make the back end slide better, but we'll see. I had the same problem with front plowing , went as high as 7PSI and have found that to be perfect , was quite amazing the difference it made.

No problem Hez, I'll give you a ride review as soon as I get a chance to use them. Not sure when my next trip will be, maybe Thanksgiving. I'm sure there are alot of people out there using them already. I got them mounted on the Douglas black label wheels, which will make the front end 4" wider. That should make a huge difference in handling by itself.
