Default Steering Stabilizers

Has anyone figured out a way to mount a Scotts or GBR style steering stablizer to the 2004 DS650?

I need to get a stabilizer and the stock configuration of the handlebars looks like mounting those type of stabilizers would not work. Can they be mounted on the frame between to the A-arms?

What stabilizers do you use? What works the best?

I had a lot of bmp steer and side to side motion on my DS in the dunes this past weekend. The dunes were really cut up and the sand was wet, which would contribute to this. Also, I was riding faster with my new mods.

I'm also looking for a good swing arm skid plate so i can take my DS into the desert.

The first thing you should do is get some upper adjustable arms if you have not already. With some more castor allot of what you are feeling will go away. Or you mask the problem with a dampner!

RXM is correct.
EFI turbo...sweeeet. I would say with that set up masking the prob is not what you would want to do. I can come down the right side of comp hill at dumont sitting on my hads. And it can get pretty bad on a busy weekend. With a decent set of fully adjustable a-arms, most mistakes you make, the a-arms will save your butt. The GBR's are what? 300? A decent set of arms are less than 600 and correct the problem, not mask it. JMO

I thought the newer DS650s, 2004 and up, had corrected that A-arm problem.

I have a 2004 DS650 and I did not notice this problem last seaon on dry sand.

How did you mount your GPR? I could always go to a Scotts if I can't get a hold of GPR.

I thought the same thing, but could be wrong.

I thought bump stear was when you enter a jump or land a jump the quad whants to go left or right. And tracking is what you described you might stifen the preloud just a little. And a stablizer would help things
