cctman, I wasn't taking a view on MX ability, but only commenting on engine capacity and power.

A Banshee Can take on a 400ex. Thats like no proublm, stock anyway. We can all talk about why we think the DS650 rules or sucks but untill they do a race we will never know..but all i gotta say i got $5 on the DS650!!

Really i think all the banshee owners are a little afraid they might have some competion now!

The ds650 looks sweet and suppose to have 54 hp. But the front fenders are a little goofy looking.

The 650 looks cool,but... with that added weight, and the extra width , i think it will be pretty tight on some trails.I'll have to get an actual look at one before i give up the 400ex.I'd like to see some ride reports also.

Not that I am ready to buy a new ATv, but today I asked my local dealer, the owner himself, when he expected a DS650 in. He told me that after speaking with the factory rep the other day he learned that Bombardeir will be cutting production almost in half! Initally almost 40,000 units were slated to be made. Apparently Bombardier wants to see if they will really sell or something, are I'm sure thay must be concerned about quality control as well. My dealer told me that his initial orsder of 12, with the first ones expected mid September, was cut to 4, with the first one not expected till almost February! If anybody lives close to Las Vegas Bombardier will be having a dealer show sometime next month. The way I understood it, that would be as close as he would come to seeing one for quite awhile.

i hate to say it guys, but with the bombardier at 48 ponys and the 400 at <30, stock to stock, i think ill have my money on the DS, even betting against my own man. sorry, but power to weight ratio is alot more than enough. im thinking a few 400 and banshee owners gonna be wishing they knew before they bought this year, i am. oh well, my H will still get me where i wanna go. i wonder how much gas the 650 carries?

New word on the street is that the new Bombardier won't be out until October now. Guess we will have to keep waiting to find out more.
