Let's hear about the DS650 now . . .

The forum is working fine. What does everyone think of the 650 Bomber. I think it's refreshing to see one mfgr. take a different approach. I hope it goes like a rocket (as most of their muscle sleds do), maybe the other brands will be watching.

I am verry interested in the new DS 650. IT looks awesome, and the thought of 650 cc on four wheels, that ROCKS. My local dealer has already promised me a ride. Just dont tell him i cant get a loan!

I think that a 650cc engine belongs on a sport quad, rather than a utility quad (Do you think yamaha is listening). For nearly all pure utility purposes, 600cc is a bit much (grizzly). But since the utility is the biggest market, thats where all the updates go. I hope the 650cc bomb blows changes sport quads as we know them. Competition breed perfection, so if the bomb destroys the 400ex and the banshee in the dunes and the drags we will probably see a new sport quad from others soon to follow. When will polaris stick one of those highly modified sled motors into a lightweight frame and change everyones mindset about sport atv's.

This ATV is surely unique. With 650cc of Rotax power it should hook up and go fast in a staight line. Just hope you won't need to turn it around, I hear this thing is very heavy 460lbs and no mention of reverse. Bombardier only states it has a 5 speed. Thats going to make it had to turn it around on a trail. But I guess if you need a 650 for the trail you only plan on going in one direction and one speed. FAST!!!!!!

Went to my dealer the other week to pick up an oil filter for my 400ex and saw a picture of the new DS 650. thought it looked pretty sweeeet!!!!. The only thing I did not care for was the way they mounted the front fenders. Or maybe it's just me. Crash...

I would love to see a XC/MX version. I think mnufactors need to know that sand is not the only terrain(Banshee, LT500, and now Bombardiar). Otherwise, I love it. I'm gettinginto this big-bore 4-stroke crap.

ATVs are hitting the limit before they will be allowed on Public Roads. Engine's any bigger will have to go on quads made for STREET riding. And thats what I hope to see within the next 5 years. Quads for the street with BIG ENGINES like Motorcycles.

I can't wait to get one! The DS 650 should
send the Honda engineers back to their
drawing boards. How could Honda even
release the 400EX when they must have
known that the DS 650 was lurking in
the shadows.
I used to love Honda's but the lack of
anything with any power made me switch
to Polaris. Now it looks like I'm going
to have to add a DS 650. The best price
I could find is Cycle City of Erie, PA.
They said I could get one for $6,600,
and drop it at my door for another $75.
But since Erie isn't that far for me,
90 miles, I'll go get it!
